Uriah Bennett at Allied Detectives is a private investigator based in London. As a private detective many of his cases involve gathering evidence of cheating partners and this is not just for the rich. With new surveillance techniques and equipment, gathering evidence for such cases becomes a lot cheaper and cost effective.Recently, Uriah received an enquiry from a Mrs X. She believed her husband had been having an affair but needed proof. Her suspicions had been raised after they had returned from a golfing weekend with a number of her husband’s friends that had recently left their wives for younger women and now her husband was spending an unusual amount of time away from home and when he was at home had become quite distant.

In the old days, surveillance was a slow, time consuming excercise for a PI to undertake. It was hit and miss, as to catching the person being watched doing something they shouldn’t, and the chances of being spotted when you are constantly following them greatly increase.Using a gps tracker (see wikipedia) can cut all this out. By placing a small magnetic tracker to the base of the husbands car, meant that Uriah could just leave the tracker for a week to monitor the movements of the husband. The Tracker collected the information that Uriah then went to look at, at the end of the week via an app on his smartphone.
From the locations the husband had visited a couple of locations became prominent. Uriah then spoke to the wife, whom he had asked to keep a note of where her husband had said he had been going and when.
Like a statue revealing itself to the sculptor as he chisels away at the stone, a key location the husband kept visiting, though he had provided different destinations and reasons for going, appeared.

Now that Uriah had collected this information, it was time to investigate in person. Uriah knew what time and where the husband would be with his, possible mistress. It was now just a case of turning up just before or after the husband was due to arrive at the property to take some surveillance footage. Uriah also looked up the property ownership details, to see who owned the property and it was in the name of a lady. Uriah took footage of the husband leaving the property first thing in the morning after a night’s stay. The husband let himself out so, no footage was taken of any mistress.

With the information gathered, though no actual footage of the mistress, Uriah met with Mrs X to present his report. He showed her her husbands visits to the mistresses property, when he had told her he had been elsewhere and the information from the title deeds of the property.This was enough for Mrs X to confront her husband, even without pictures of the wife catching him in the act. Mr X immediately confessed.
Since confronting her husband Mrs X left her husband.
